Breast Cancer Awareness Program was organized to sensitize women
about early detection, prevention, and management of cancer. Cancer
remains a major public health concern worldwide, and increasing
awareness is a crucial step toward reducing associated mortality.

symptoms, risk factors, screening methods, and available treatment
options.
The program was conducted in the month of December at Mundaje-
Mularu, Guripalla, Kolpadi, Baddyar, Bangady,Thekkaru and Gardady
clusters of Vimukti SHG Trust, Belthangady.
The program was aimed to create awareness about cervical and breast
cancer among women and the community, to educate participants about
early signs and symptoms, to promote regular screening such as Pap
smear tests and mammograms and to provide information on available
treatment and support services. The mobilisers of Vimukti SHG Trust,
Ms. Rohini, Ms. Mohini, Ms. Savitha and Ms. Vasanthi facilitated the
program.
