A parent’s meeting and World Caregiver's Day celebration were organized at Daya Special School on 29.10.2025. On the occasion, the Director of Daya Special School, Rev. Fr. Vinod Mascarenhas, wished all the caregivers a happy World Caregiver's Day. He said, the Daya Special School has been providing various services to 150 specially gifted children for the past 08 years. Many kind-hearted donors have given up their small desires and aspirations and given the money they saved to our organization to provide better services to these special children.

In return for their sacrifice, today we all work harder than we could for these children in the organization to capacitate them to overcome their disabilities. We along with our qualified staff, children are given all the trainings and therapies they need in the school to live well in the society like everyone else. The role of all parents and caregivers of these children is very important in our journey. Today, we honour all our parents on this auspicious occasion and wish them that, all the services they provide to these children to be considered by the God and may their efforts be rewarded in hundred folds.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Subhkar, the president of the school teacher parent association, expressed his gratitude for the help and cooperation of the director and all the staff of this institution. And he said, because of the service they provide in the school to each of our children, today our children have been able to achieve progress in all aspects and for that we all are indebted to this institution.

All the parents and caregivers of the children were honoured with flowers by the director rev. Fr. Vinod Mascarenhas. Student Kumari Rashmi sang a song that symbolized the bond between parents and children. The school counsellor, Ms. Merin, parents of the school children, teaching and non-teaching staff of Daya Special School and 102 children with special needs were participated in this program. Special educator Ms. Chiranjeevi welcomed the gathering and managed the MC of the program.
