The General Body
Meeting of Vimukti SHG Trust was held on 19th October 2025 at
Vimukti Sabha Bhavan, Belthangady. The meeting was presided over by
Mrs. Shali, the President of Vimukti SHG Trust.
Rev. Fr. Vinod Mascarenhas, Director of Capuchin Krishik Seva
Kendra, Laila Unit, and Rev. Fr. Rohan Lobo, Assistant Director of
Capuchin Krishik Seva Kendra, Belthangady, graced the occasion and
shared the dais.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Mrs. Prameela. Mrs.
Raina Lobo, Secretary of Vimukti SHG Trust, presented the annual
report and the minutes of the previous meeting. The accountant then
provided a detailed explanation of the cluster meetings, loans,
audit process, and profit disbursement, followed by the presentation
of the estimated budget for the upcoming year.
Rev. Fr. Rohan Lobo spoke about innovative ways to raise funds for
Vidyasnehi an interest-free educational loan program initiated in
2020. In his address, Rev. Fr. Vinod Mascarenhas emphasized the
importance of prioritizing education for children over material
comforts and encouraged all groups to maintain proper documentation.
In her presidential address, Mrs. Shali urged members to extend
their cooperation in implementing new initiatives and moving forward
collectively.
A total of 57 members participated in the meeting. The event
concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Annamma, followed by a
sumptuous lunch.
