Children GramaSabha – Preparation Workshop
The workshop
organized by CKSK aimed to equip children with the knowledge,
skills, and confidence to actively participate in the upcoming
Children’s Gram Sabha. This initiative is part of an effort to
ensure that children are not only aware of their rights and
responsibilities but also take an active role in community
decision-making processes. Altogether, 485 children from 5 schools
participated in the workshop. Mr. Naveen Kumar was the resource
person and the trainer. The workshop successfully met its objectives
of preparing children for active participation in the Children’s
Gram Sabha. The children left the session feeling empowered to speak
up about their community's needs and engage in democratic processes.
It is expected that their participation will contribute positively
to community development and inspire other children to take an
active role in local governance.
